Third in our Moms We Love series is Pinsi, CEO of boutique creative agency Pinsi Lei Creative in NYC specializing in branding, digital marketing and design for industries ranging from fashion to real estate. She had her baby during the coronavirus outbreak and chronicles her motherhood and WFH journey on Instagram, and we love watching her raise her little foodie with #charleychews!
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a New Yorker with a one-year-old baby boy and another on the way. I grow brand awareness for incredible women-led businesses through digital marketing. I’m also a Chinese immigrant who grew up in Guam.
2. You describe yourself as 100% CEO and 100% Mom. How do you juggle both identities in your life?
I’m not less of a businesswoman when I’m doing mom duties. And I’m not less of a mom when I’m working. I can be a full-time mom, which every mom is, and a full-time work for-pay individual.
3. What has it been like WFH during the pandemic with a baby?
The beginning was tough, but work energizes me. That shift in brain space from thinking about how to care for my baby to strategizing on a social media campaign refreshes me! I’ve had many Zoom meetings where I was feeding my baby or rocking him on my chest.
4. What does bedtime in your household look like?
We usually go for a walk as a family around 5:30pm, and come back for dinner around 6pm. Wash up around 6:30pm. Play for a bit then bed. He’s usually tired and ready for bed by 7pm.
5. What is something you look forward to do when the pandemic is over?
I can’t wait to show the world to Charley. He’s so excitable that traveling will be a hoot with him. He also loves food and I’m eager to see his reaction to different foods!
